Nick is a pupil barrister. Following his application to the BSB for a reduction in pupillage, the BSB has reduced Nick’s pupillage to six months because of the previous experience gained as an Arbitrator and criminal Magistrate.
Nick’s areas of law that he wishes to specialise in are banking and financial services, commercial litigation, and arbitration. Whilst based in Wiltshire, Nick is happy to travel where required.
Prior to pupillage, Nick spent fourteen years working in banking, where he was responsible for leading business analyst teams on complex regulatory and technical change programmes. He has extensive banking and financial services experience, including regulation in Open Banking, PSD2 and GDPR, which he wishes to use in his future barrister career.
Nick has been practising as an arbitrator for two years in the ABTA Travel Arbitration scheme, arbitrating over twenty disputes. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
Nick recently graduated from Queen Mary University of London, earning an LLM with Merit in International Dispute Resolution.
